    Event Description:

    LBGLCC October Luncheon
    Unconscious Bias
People are made to feel secure with people that look, feel, and speak like them, and feel threatened by people that are different. Join the LBGLCC as we hear from Sahar Andrade, Diversity/Inclusion/Culture/Competence & Leadership Consultant, TED Talk Speaker, and founder of Sahar Consulting, LLC.  Sahar will discuss how we can stop the US against THEM mentality and how we can break down walls to work with all people independent of their political affiliation, gender, race, color, country, or sexual orientation.
By gaining a deeper understanding of the biases that influence our perceptions, we can better manage relationships and resolve conflict. Please join us as we learn how to define unconscious bias, discuss the role of culture in bias, define the relationship between perceptions and unconscious bias and how we can fight and overcome bias to be able to work together.
